Hotels with Onsen – Hot spring in Takamatsu.

People love taking a bath, and it’s our culture and a big part of our everyday life in Japan.

If you love a Japanese hot spring or Onsen in Japanese, you’d love to stay in a hotel with Onsen when you come to Takamatsu.

Takamatsu isn’t the best city for Onsen but still, there are some hotels that have an onsen or a large public bath inside their hotels.

So, I’ll show you several hotels where you can have a dip in a natural onsen or large public bath inside the hotel.

1: JR Clement Inn Takamatsu(JRクレメントイン高松)

JR Clement Inn Takamatsu has large public baths on the top floor of the hotel.

From the bath, you can see the Seto Inland Sea, Takamatsu Castle and even Yashima mountain.

This large public bath is open from 4pm – 12pm and 5:30am – 9:30am. So you can enjoy it twice in the evening and the morning before checking out.

JR Clement Inn Takamatsu is located within 3 minutes from Takamatsu Port and JR Takamatsu Station. It’s perfect to take a trip to other tourist destinations.

If you are on a limited budget, this hotel is suitable for you.

2: APA Hotel Takamatsu Airport

APA hotel is a hotel chain that has branches nationwide. It’s a business hotel and it comes in more of a budget hotel category.

If you are coming to Takamatsu by air, this hotel may be a great option for you because it’s within a walking distance from the Takamatsu airport.

Even if you have an early flight, you can relax at the hotel because you just have to walk to the airport.

To be honest, there is nothing special about this hotel and the area around this hotel. It’s reasonable. It’s just a countryside in Kagawa and close to the local airport.

But the good thing is there is a large public bath on the top floor of the hotel.

It’s a little bit far away from the ocean, but if the weather is good, you can see the Seto Inland Sea from the bath.

3: Takamatsu Dormy Inn Hotel Chuo Koenmae

Takamatsu Dormy Inn hotel is located right in the centre of the Takamatsu city, and it’s on the opposite side of Takamatsu Central Park.(Do not expect the park to be like the one in a big city, it’s just a normal park) .

Locationwise, it’s perfect. It’s close to the longest shopping arcade in Shikoku and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

With only one bus, you can go straight to JR Takamatsu Station and Ritsurin Garden.

This is a budget hotel. This hotel would be perfect if you are on a limited budget.

In this hotel, there is a large public bath, open-air bath and even a sauna. This hotel offers a free night soba noodle service.

If you are hungry at night, you can get a bowl of noodles for free.

4: Umino Yadori(海のやどり)

Umino Yadori is a hotel sitting on a hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The view from the hotel is stunning.

Umino Yadori is located in a seaside town called Aji, but it’s still in the city of Takamatsu.

It’s only 1 hour away from the JR Takamatsu Station. You just have to take a bus and it will take you straight to the hotel.

The onsen is a natural onsen and it’s good for your health such as sore muscles, high blood pressure, joint pain, fatigue, sclerosis and many more.

There is an indoor bath and also outdoor onsen that overlooks the sea. You also have a small sauna here too.

I have high blood pressure. I took a bath here and my blood pressure got lower after the bath.It seems this Onsen helps you improve your blood circulation.

5:Qua Park Tsuda Hotel

As you can see in the picture above, Qua Park Tsuda hotel is located right in front of the Seto Inland Sea. It’s literally zero seconds from the sea!

In this hotel. all the rooms are facing the ocean like the picture above. It’s so nice to relax or sleep to the gentle sound of the ripples of the island sea.

Locationwise, Qua Park Tsuda isn’t in Takamatsu city but it’s in Kagawa Prefecture. If you take an express train, it takes only half an hour to get to the nearest station called Sanuki Tsuda(讃岐津田).

And if you tell the hotel staff in advance, they will come to the station to pick you up.

The Spa next to the hotel

There’s a large public bath inside the hotel. However, there’s also a much bigger spa facility right next to the hotel.

In the spa, there is an open-air bath using the sea water from the sea and a pool or a water slide as well as different kinds of baths you can enjoy in one spa.

You have a white sand beach and pine forest next to the hotel. You can do Sea Kayak and SUP in front of the hotel or swim with a dolphin in a dolphin center nearby.

This is one of the hotels that I didn’t want to tell many people because it’s usually a quiet and a great place to chill.
